Elector Privacy Policy & Terms of Use
Last Updated: September 2026
This Privacy Policy and Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Elector platform, websites, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
Elector Software Ltd. (“Elector”, “we”, “us”) is a private technology company and is not a government authority.
By using the Services, you agree to these terms.
1. Elector’s Role
Elector provides a technology platform that enables organizations to manage information and organizational activities.
For information entered or managed by an Elector customer, the customer generally acts as the data controller, determines the purposes and means of processing, manages user permissions, and is responsible for the lawful collection and use of that information.
Elector generally acts as a data processor / holder on behalf of the customer and processes customer data only as necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and support the Services, comply with applicable law, or follow lawful instructions of the relevant data controller.
Elector does not independently determine the purposes for which customer data is collected or used and does not use customer data for unrelated independent purposes. This allocation is also reflected in Elector’s internal information-security procedures.
2. Customer-Managed Information
Customers may upload, create, and manage information through the Services according to their own activities and purposes.
The type, source, scope, and lawful basis for such information are determined by the relevant customer. The customer is responsible for ensuring that its collection, use, disclosure, communications, and other processing activities comply with applicable law, including any applicable notice or consent requirements.
Elector does not review or verify the accuracy, source, or legality of individual items of information entered by customers or their authorized users.
3. Technical and Security Information
For security, authentication, fraud and misuse prevention, monitoring, documentation, and protection of the Services, Elector may process limited technical information generated through use of the Services.
This may include, for example, IP addresses, together with other technical information reasonably required for security, authentication, monitoring, auditing, and system protection.
Such information is not used by Elector for advertising or independent marketing purposes and is retained only as reasonably necessary for security, operational, legal, or compliance purposes.
Elector’s internal procedures include logging and monitoring of system access and activity for security purposes.
4. Information Security
Elector applies organizational and technical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, misuse, or loss.
Depending on the relevant service and user role, these measures may include access controls, authentication mechanisms, encryption, monitoring, activity logging, network protections, security testing, and other appropriate safeguards.
Elector does not have unrestricted or independent authority to use customer databases for its own purposes. Any exceptional access required for support, maintenance, security, legal compliance, or other authorized purposes is subject to applicable permissions and internal controls.
5. Service Providers
Elector may use cloud, hosting, cybersecurity, communications, maintenance, development, and other technology providers where reasonably necessary to operate the Services.
Such providers may process information in Israel or other jurisdictions, subject to applicable legal requirements and appropriate contractual or organizational safeguards.
Elector does not sell customer data and does not use customer data for independent third-party advertising or marketing.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Elector retains information only for as long as reasonably required for the purposes for which it is processed and in accordance with applicable law.
At the conclusion of an election campaign, Elector deletes and destroys election-related customer data in accordance with applicable legal requirements, unless retention is required by law, court order, regulatory requirement, or instruction of a competent authority.
Information required for security, audit, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or other lawful purposes may be retained for the period required by law.
Information contained in backup systems may remain until deletion or replacement through ordinary backup-retention cycles.
Elector’s internal procedures also provide for deletion or destruction of customer information following an applicable deletion request or the end of the relevant service.
7. Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law, individuals may have rights relating to their personal information, including rights of access and correction.
Where information is managed through Elector on behalf of a customer, the relevant data controller is generally responsible for handling such requests. Elector will provide reasonable assistance where required by applicable law.
Where Elector has a direct legal obligation as a data holder, processor, or controller, Elector will act in accordance with that obligation.
